The 42nd Annual Conference of NSAP held with pomp and pageantry at the scenic and picturesque exhilarating green campus of LandMark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State. The Conference which is the second in the annals of the Society was a landmark success by all indices.  The Society was the guest of the University Chancellor. Dr. David Oyedepo. The Vice Chancellor, the amiable Professor Aize Obayan was a jolly good host who was available throughout the programmes of the Conference with her Management Team.   The opening ceremony was unique as the Vice Chancellor, NSAP President, LMU management team, Fellows of the Society and National Executive Officers of the Society were lead into the Venue by LandMark University Band.

The Conference with the theme “Emerging Challenges facing Animal Agriculture in Nigeria” was declared opened by the Vice-Chancellor of LandMark University, Professor Aize Obayan. In the course of the opening ceremony, Professors Suleiman Elias Bogoro and Gerald Akpa had their investiture as Fellows of the Society.  Professor I.I. Dafwang, presented a thought provoking keynote address on the theme of the conference. Awards were also presented at the occasion which was graced by the representative of the Governor of Kwara State and Royal Fathers of Offa and Omu-Aran.

Plenary and Scientific Sessions featuring the presentation of about 300 Scientific papers on all aspects of animal agriculture were highlights of the Conference. Some delegates also had the opportunity of visiting the Commercial and Teaching Farms of the University.  Congratulations to the Local Organising Committee led by Professor Enoch Oyawoye (Chairman) and Dr. B.T. Adesina (Secretary) for giving us a beautiful Conference.

Our experience at LandMark 2017, can be summed up as Awesome, Educative and Amazing.
